Job Description

The VMC Operator will be responsible for setting up, operating, and maintaining VMC machines to produce high-quality machined components as per engineering drawings and specifications. The role involves machine programming support, quality inspection, routine maintenance, and collaboration with production teams to ensure timely and accurate output.

The role requires hands-on experience in CNC programming, G-code, M-code, machine setup, and blueprint reading, along with a strong focus on quality, safety, and production efficiency.

Job Responsibilities

•    Operate and maintain 3-axis Vertical Machining Centers (VMC)

•    Set up, calibrate, and prepare VMC machines for production runs

•    Load and unload raw materials and finished components

•    Perform basic to intermediate CNC programming using G-code and M-code

•    Read and interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, and technical specifications

•    Apply GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing) as required

•    Monitor machine operations and make necessary adjustments during production

•    Conduct regular machine maintenance and basic troubleshooting

•    Inspect machined parts using measuring instruments to ensure quality standards

•    Maintain accurate records of machine operations, production output, and  maintenance

•    Follow safety guidelines and ensure a safe working environment

•    Collaborate with team members to improve productivity and machining processes

•    Stay updated with the latest machining techniques and best practices

Required Skills & Expertise

•    Experience as a VMC Operator / CNC Machine Operator

•    Knowledge of CNC programming, G-code, and M-code (preferred)

•    Strong ability to read technical drawings and blueprints

•    Understanding of GD&T concepts

•    Hands-on experience with machine setup, tooling, and calibration

•    Familiarity with measuring tools and quality inspection processes

•    Basic troubleshooting and preventive maintenance skills

•    Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality

•    Awareness of workplace safety standards
